QUESTION OF THE WEEK:

Why did you call it a Homecoming Dance?  Isn't that too close to public school language?
- A. Hansen, New Mexico
Good question!  We thought long and hard about the name of the dance - we could have called it a prom, but proms are usually in the spring or summer.  We could have called it a Fall Dance or Harvest Dance, but that was too casual.  Homeschoolers are - well - at home.  So the word "home" was impressed to be in the name of the dance somewhere.  No other homeschool organization does a homecoming dance, and since there are lots of new homeschoolers this year who are "coming home" to get their education, we thought "homecoming dance" was appropriate.  Hope you can join us!!
