Fundraising Fundraising is an essential part to any volunteer-based, 501(c)3 tax exempt organization.This allows many families to take part in more opportunities without financial burden. Our members are diverse, and encouraging children to earn their way to the activities they want to participate in promotes responsibility and a sense of community, pride in accomplishments, and appreciation for the academic benefits of the various field trips.
A variety of easy fundraising opportunities have been selected, each is assigned a point value.Students earn points towards the redemption of activities, events, and merchandise.All of the points stay in a “family” account and the parents redeem as they see fit.Points are cumulative, and carry over from year to year, as long as the membership stays in tact.Points have no cash value, and are not redeemable for cash.A family will lose accumulated points if their membership lapses for longer than 60 consecutive days, or if they are delinquent in turning in funds or fundraising receipts.
Fundraising is completely optional, however any family participating must have a signed permission form on file and follow the fundraising guidelines. To meet the guidelines of the 501(c)3 tax exempt status, only SHEA member families may participate in fundraising campaigns.
Members may participate in fundraisers to earn points that are redeemable for any of the following:

*Tall Ships Field Trip *Long Beach 3-Star Hotel
*Disneyland Field Trip - Sept. 15-17, 2008 YES Ticket with 3-day park hopper Standard Room at Good Neighbor Hotel Disneyland Grand Californian Disneyland Gift Cards - $25 Value
*SHEA T-Shirt
*Hotels can only be booked by an adult, require a valid credit card for booking, and include room occupancy and sales tax. Based on availability and fundraiser must be completed by booking deadline. See member forums for booking deadlines and fundraising applications.
